Summer time
For the summer holidays, over twenty 2000s offer hiking and mountain routes of all levels of difficulty for young and old, as well as cycle paths and mountain bike trails to explore nature at its best. The "7 heavenly places" invite you to linger on the cloud banks: be it at the crystal-clear Scheibelsee, on hikes over the Hasensattel or along the "waterway" with the wonderful world of plants and birds to the rock and cave world. The mountain tour to the Triebenstein is challenging, while a leisurely hike to the Moaralm or to the Hölleralm is more comfortable.
Winter time
From the Wichtelhütte you have a wonderful view of Hohentauern and the surrounding mountains, which you can also enjoy skiing in winter. Furthermore, 13 km of cross-country trails invite you to skate and classic cross-country skiing in winter. If you like it easygoing, you can walk along the well-prepared winter hiking trails. For the sporty ones there are wonderful tours for ski mountaineering or snowshoe hiking, after a racy toboggan run or curling in convivial company the restaurants spoil you with "heavenly pleasures".
